Overall Experience Reviews For Sport Clips Haircuts of Hadley

5 rating

I have used the same barber for 20 years and unfortunately he moved so I had to find something new. I met Alicia through my business and figured I would give sport clips a try and I’m glad I did. Great experience and if you haven’t treated yourself to the MVP service yet you are missing out! Give these guys a try you will not be disappointed👍

Overall, I've had several positive experiences here. It feels convenient to sign on online for an estimated wait-time and receive text updates, and the service and haircuts have been pretty spot on. But be warned, online registration does not equate with an appointment, and on a busy day the stylists are incentivized to dawdle over whomever is in their chair at the expense of customers on the waiting list. I generally got in quickly in the past when I was a walk-in. But then there's that time that I signed in online and was given a 45-minute estimated wait time. Ninety minutes later, I got the "up next" text and headed into the shop, where I stood for another half an hour despite my status on the board reading "on deck / in store." The last 20 of those last 30 minutes felt even longer as I watched two of the three stylists make no visible changes to the hair of the guys in their respective chairs (seriously, it was like they bet each other who could cut less hair in that time). Meanwhile, the third rang up another customer a few feet away from me and then puttered around the shop without so much as an acknowledgement of my presence (or another customer after me on the list). The haircuts were still underway when I finally walked out two hours after I had gotten "in line." It's really not a bad place to get a clip and/or the full treatment...if time is no issue for you. If time is an issue for you, then "getting on the list" may just create false expectations for when you'll actually land in a chair. You may do better just walking in when the weather is crappy or in between errands.

A mediocre experience overall. Stylist did an ok job on the haircut, but forgot part of my request. I also got the "MVP" experience, and it the non-haircut part was disappointing. Stylist did not bring over the footstool during the MVP so my legs were dangling, and the "head massage" was limp at best (about the same pressure as one normally uses when applying shampoo).
